Cam Fritz, Founder of The Hill, Baseball Performance
Born in Huntington, WV. Grew up in Ashland, Ky. Paul G. Blazer High School Alum. Earned Associate's Degree from Potomac State College of WV in Sports Management. Graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Marketing.
Former Division 1 and Professional Athlete with an unwavering passion for the game of baseball and a deep interest in understanding biomechanics. This fascination with the science behind human movement has allowed Cam to develop innovative training methods that directly translate to improved baseball performance.
After finishing his playing career, Cam spent over 4+ years training players of various skill levels, honing his coaching techniques, and refining his approach to player development. During the summers, Cam had the opportunity to coach nationally ranked Team Elite 15u and 17u teams. Over the course of his time with TE, he assisted in the recruitment of 20+ athletes who committed and signed to play baseball at major universities.
This hands-on experience, combined with his passion for biomechanics, enabled him to seamlessly transition into a coaching role as the Director of Player Development at Georgia State University. As one of the youngest Player Development coaches in the country, Cam's unique blend of expertise, dedication, and commitment to his players quickly set him apart from his peers.
Through The Hill, Cam continues to further this vision by offering high-quality training for athletes at all levels, ranging from Youth Players all the way to Professionals.
Griffin Cheney, Assistant Hitting Coordinator
Born in Baltimore, MD. Grew up in Johns Creek, GA. Northview High School Alum. Graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
Five-year letter winner as a versatile infielder and right-handed hitter who played in 193 games, including 174 career starts. Starting shortstop as a sophomore (2019), moved to third base in 2020, then second base in 2021 before returning to shortstop in 2022. Started 121 consecutive games from 2019-21. In those 121
straight starts, he failed to reach base only 13 times.
Drafted in the ninth round (pick No. 259) by Texas Rangers in 2022 MLB Draft, becoming the third-highest draft pick in program history. Career batting average of .301 with 22 home runs, 21 of them over his final two seasons...Ranks fifth in GSU history with 143 runs scored and tied for sixth with 90 walks. Hit by pitch 26 times, tied for fourth in GSU history.
In between professional seasons with the Rangers. He added 3+ years of coaching experience with Team Georgia, as well as developing hitters and infielders. During this time, Griff established an approach that helped young athletes to better understand the connection between the mental side of the game, and the mechanics as a whole.
Brian Dansereau, Director of Player Development
Born in Douglasville, GA. Alexander High School Alum. Brian graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education, where he also played baseball for the final two years of his collegiate career.
While playing professionally, Brian trained numerous athletes from the youth level all the way to the professional level. He enjoys training athletes and teaching about the body and how to maximize the overall potential of each individual.
Brian understands the importance of proper assessments and performance training to best suit the individual's needs. He is passionate about helping others obtain their goals and reach their full potential.
Ammasith Phrommavanh, Strength & Conditioning Coach
Amm Phrommavanh completed his Master's in Strength & Conditioning degree from Springfield College in the Spring of 2019, where he worked as a graduate assistant with the Pride's football, men's and women's volleyball, women's lacrosse, and women's gymnastics teams. In addition to developing and implementing training programs, he helped oversee Springfield's undergraduate and graduate student interns.
Prior to his time at Springfield, he interned with the University of Minnesota football team during the Summer of 2018. Additionally, Amm worked with many Olympic sports in internships at The College of the Holy Cross, Quinnipiac, and Connecticut. A 2016 Ccut State University graduate, Amm earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science.
